Unholy Water

Servings: 8 Flasks - Preparation: 2 Hours - Brewing: 12 hours
One of the darker of the reagents, requiring ill-gotten ingredients for it to be of any quality worthwhile. It's also rather hard to get your hands on, it having to be brewed on very particular nights during which the moon is tinted red (during June in particular) or during an eclipse, although a simple new moon should work well enough.

Ingredients:
8 Small Crystal Vials
3 Flasks of Swamp Water, although any putrid water will do
½ Flask of Viper Venom
1 Flask of Fresh Blood of Beast, unwillingly taken
5 Bones of a slaughtered fellow Wolf

Instructions:
In full moonlight, pour the venom and water into a unheated tortoise shell. Stir vigorously with a bone rod while you add in the blood slowly, chanting the Ancient Draug'navic Song meanwhile. Add in two bones now and let it soak up the moonlight. After roughly 9 hours, add in the rest of the bones and finish stirring in the opposite direction that you were originally stirring in. Pour the red-tinted liquid into the vials and promptly put a cork stopper on it. Unholy Water is at it's best after four hundred years, however it is useable after just two weeks.

Holy Water

Servings: 10 Flasks - Preparation: 3 Hours - Brewing: 3 Days

Ingredients:
10 Small Crystal Vials
7 Flasks of Crystal Spring Water
5 Pinches of Salt
1 Silver Coin
5 Rose Petals

Instructions:
During a full moon, place your ivory basin in an area where you know you'll get full sunshine in the morning. Place your water and salt into the basin and let it soak up the starlight. Come back an hour or so before dawn and place the silver coin and rose petals in the basin and stir with a willow wand.  Chant the Mumble Mumbo Holler hymn until sunrise. Leave the water in the sun for two days before bottling. Holy Water can be used right away, although it's at it's best after another full moon a month afterwards..

Essence of Death

Servings: 4 Flasks - Preparation: 2 Days - Brewing: 8 hours
Most major elixirs call for strong, well-brewed essence. A proper Essence of Death is chunky thick liquid the colour of pitch and smells of rotting flesh once it's fully matured. It's often used for enchantments against Ghouls and invaders, but it can also be combined with other reagents and essences to make very powerful potions. However, messing with Essence of Death can be dangerous and is best left for experienced brewers.

Ingredients:
4 Crystal Calabash Flasks
1 Bleeding Crown Mushroom Cap
4 Whole Toadstool Mushrooms, Fresh
2 Flasks of Unholy Water
1 Eye of Newt
8 Spider Eyes
3 Flasks of Ghoul's Blood
14 Wolfsbane Flowers, Sundried

Instructions:
Before you begin, you must prepare your reagents. In the midday sun, lay out the petals of the wolfsbane on a stone surface. Meanwhile, remove the stalk of the Bleeding Crown and warm the Ghoul's Blood. During this time you should pick your Toadstools, which must be picked within the two days prior to brewing.

Place your heated iron cauldron in full moonshine with the Bleeding Crown and the fresh Toadstool. Carefully pour in the Unholy Water and let the whole thing infuse while chanting the Arorua Adnarim Hymn.

Repeat the song four times, by that time it should've turned midnight. Now you must add in the Ghoul Blood, various eyes and stir very well. Get your flasks ready before you add in the sundried Wolfsbane petals which should dissolve immediately. Fill the flasks only three quarters of the way and leave them in full darkness for at least a week before using. They should've gone from water-down red to a thick, gluggy pitch black.
